Calculate MAS after a field test

A field result, a speed reference. Find your estimate and explore what it means for your training paces.

What is it for?

Maximal aerobic speed (MAS) is a reference for pacing some sessions. Use a completed test to find an estimate in km/h and the corresponding track times.

How it works

  1. Choose the test you completed.
  2. Enter your six-minute distance or recorded VAMEVAL speed.
  3. Read the estimate and explore paces without changing your profile.

The estimate depends on the protocol, measurement, pacing and conditions. It is neither measured VO₂max nor a predicted race time. The times shown are not a prescribed workout.

Only this preview value is transferred to the pace calculator. Your profile and plan stay unchanged.

Understand the calculation

Six-minute test: average speed over exactly 6 minutes is distance in metres ÷ 100, in km/h. It is used here as a MAS estimate. VAMEVAL: the tool retains the final speed validated by the supervisor, without converting a stage number. Times for 200, 400 and 1,000 m assume constant speed.

Your questions, answered

Do I need an account to calculate?

No. Results and methods are freely available.

What does saving keep?

Your inputs, result and method version, in your private resources. Your plan and personal records are not changed.

Does this calculation update my MAS in Koatch?

Saving keeps a private resource. To update your profile, use “Use this test in my profile”, enter the actual date, then confirm the preview. This adds the test and changes your MAS reference; existing workouts are not rewritten.
