Estimate a finish time

Use a recent performance to explore other distances.

What is it for?

Estimate a time for another distance from a recent performance. Get a starting point for your target, rather than a guaranteed result.

How it works

  1. Enter a recent all-out race.
  2. Compare distances.
  3. Check the scenario against your preparation.

Understand the calculation

The scenario uses T₂ = T₁ × (D₂ / D₁)^1.06. It assumes a recent maximal road-race effort and comparable preparation. One race does not describe your endurance: terrain, weather, fatigue and mileage are not modelled.

Theoretical equivalents, not guaranteed times. Marathon performance depends heavily on specific preparation.

Your questions, answered

Do I need an account to calculate?

No. Results and methods are freely available.

What does saving keep?

Your inputs, result and method version, in your private resources. Your plan and personal records are not changed.

Why can an estimate differ from my race?

The calculation does not know every condition or your preparation. A theoretical equivalent helps you explore a goal and compare it with your training.
